Large group meetings are for inspiration and instruction, but such meetings lack a sense of intimate community/family connections and lack opportunities for everyone to offer something to the group. To facilitate family and to provide opportunities to express what God gives you, we have life groups and focus groups.
Life groups gather people in a family/pastoral setting with the common ground being relationships and spiritual growth rather than a common interest. In our cultural, many think of church being focused on our individual life and focused on a large group meeting. However, the church is meant to be relational and there is suppose to be a practical care for each other that can only happen in a small group setting. Being part of the Glad Tidings family includes being a part of a home group where we can spiritually challenge and practically care for each other.
Focus groups gather people around a common interest and provide an opportunity to invite friends to join in the fun. Often the things that we enjoy doing are more fun in a larger group. In addition, relationships form, and we get to know people in a deeper sense when we do things together.
